Repeat Prescriptions and Prescription Food

We are pleased to offer the convenience of ordering repeat medications and prescription diets via email.

To place an order, please email ardenhouseorders@gmail.com with your request, including the relevant details. Alternatively, you can scroll to the bottom of this page and submit your medication or food request using the online order form via our website.

Please allow a minimum of 48 hours notice for us to process your request. A member of our reception team will contact you by text message or telephone to let you know when your order is ready for collection.

Repeat Prescription Checks

At Arden House, we are committed to ensuring that all medications prescribed are safe and appropriate for your pet. For this reason, patients receiving prescription medication must be examined by one of our veterinary surgeons at least every three months.

These regular checks allow us to:

Ensure your pet is well enough to continue receiving the medication

Monitor your pet's weight and confirm the correct dosage

Assess whether the medication is having the desired effect

Identify any side effects or changes in your pet's condition

These regular health checks are an important part of providing the best possible care for your pet and are carried out in accordance with the guidelines set by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

Written Prescriptions

You may obtain veterinary medicines directly from our practice, or you may request a written prescription to obtain these medicines from a pharmacy of your choice.

Veterinary medicines can only be prescribed following a clinical assessment by one of our veterinary surgeons and while your pet remains under our care. A written prescription may not be appropriate if your pet is receiving inpatient treatment or requires immediate medication.

In accordance with Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) guidelines, it is the policy of Arden House Veterinary Practice to re-examine patients receiving repeat prescription medications every three months (90 days). These regular checks help ensure that your pet continues to receive the safest and most appropriate treatment.

Medicines decision fee: £20.00

Our policy is to send prescriptions directly to your chosen pharmacy by email. once the vet has approved and issued the written prescription and you place your order with the pharmacy, please provide us with:

Your pharmacy order number

The pharmacy's email address

We will then email the prescription directly to them.

Controlled Drugs

The original signed prescription must be presented to your chosen pharmacy, either in person or by post. Photographs, scans or emailed copies of controlled drug prescriptions cannot be accepted.
